For decades, Hartmut Höll has been one of the most sought-after piano partners. Among other singers, he was the partner for decades of Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, Renée Fleming and Mitsuko Shirai. As a professor at the University of Music Karlsruhe, he is closely connected to the younger generation of artists, being also partner of mezzo-soprano Yajie Zhang, tenors Ilker Arcayürek and Kieran Carrel and baritone Gabriel Rollinson. Chamber music partners have included Tabea Zimmermann, Eduard Brunner, Jörg Widmann and Sabine Meyer. He has recorded around sixty CDs that represent a highly diverse, wide-ranging repertoire. Many have received international awards such as the Diapason d'Or and German Record Critics' Prize. A CD of songs by the African American composer William Grant Still is being produced in collaboration with Gabriel Rollinson, and Chinese art songs with Changyong Liao.
