The Norwegian soprano rose to fame in 2015, after garnering awards at the Operalia competition in London and the Queen Sonja International Music Competition in Oslo. Last season she debuted at the Zurich Opera (as Agathe in Der Freischütz), Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires (as Isabella in Das Liebesverbot), the Glyndebourne Festival (in the title role in Ariadne auf Naxos), and at Wigmore Hall in a recital debut. During the 17/18 season she debuts as Ariadne at the Vienna Opera and the Aix-en-Provence Festival, and as Cherubini’s Medea at the Wexford Festival. Concert engagements include an artist residency with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Bergen, where she also performs in recital with James Baillieau. Her upcoming engagements include debuts at the Metropolitan Opera, Covent Garden, the Bayreuth Festival, the Munich Opera, and Deutsche Oper Berlin.
