A Berlin native, he was invited to join the Landestheater Neustrelitz as répétitieur with conducting duties while still studying conducting at the Hochschule für Musik in Rostock, in 2000. In 2005 he held a similar post at Theater Hagen, where he led the Philharmonic Orchestra. From 2010 to 2016 he served as conductor at Theater Hof, performing a broad repertoire of musical theater, including operas like Le Nozze di Figaro, Fidelio, Aida, Turandot, Hänsel and Gretel, La Traviata, and Wozzeck. Since then, he has worked with the Hof Symphony Orchestra, been invited to the Neukölner Oper, and led the Philharmonischer Chor Bayreuth for a year. Since the 16/17 season, he works as a freelance conductor and pianist.
