Què ens hi trobarem?
El programa homenatja la cantant i actriu Lotte Lenya, nascuda a Viena el 1898 (si fa, no fa, els anys en què Alma i Gustav Mahler i Arnold Schönberg componien les obres que escoltarem al recital) i establerta als Estats Units amb el seu marit Kurt Weill (com Hanns Eisler o el mateix Schönberg) fugint del règim nazi.
L'obra destacada
El 1942 Hanns Eisler es va retrobar a Califòrnia amb el seu vell amic Bertolt Brecht; l'exili, fugint del nazisme, els havia separat gairebé deu anys abans. Aquest retrobament va ser una de les espurnes que va fer néixer una llarga sèrie de cançons, el Hollywooder Liederbuch, de la qual n'escoltarem una selecció: enyorança, por, amargor i, potser, un bri d'esperança.

Mireia Tarragó

Born in Tarragona in 1995, Mireia Tarragó took a bachelor’s degree in Singing and a master’s degree in Lied Interpretation at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC). She now forms a duo with the pianist Carmen Santamaría, with whom she gives song recitals across Spain, making the work of a number of women composers more widely known. She also recently presented her first record in tribute to the Cantabrian composer Arturo Dúo-Vital. In the field of opera, Mireia Tarragó recently debuted as Contessa de Ceprano (Rigoletto) under the baton of Oliver Díaz. Her repertoire includes such roles as Lucy (The Telephone), Micaëla (Carmen) and Lauretta (Gianni Schicchi). In 2020, Mireia Tarragó won the Catalunya Música prize in the contest El Primer Palau. She has performed on various occasions at the Schubertíada and at the LIFE Victoria festival in Barcelona. She has also sung in such outstanding venues as the Auditorium of the Opéra National de Bordeaux and L’Auditori in Barcelona.

Awarded the best pianist prizes at the Das Lied-International Song Competition in Heidelberg (2017) and at the Paula-Salomon-Lindberg-Liedwettbewerbs at Universität der Künste Berlin (2015), Guerrero has extensive training as a soloist. Established in Germany, she has in recent years focused exclusively on the lieder repertoire, after discovering her affinity for it in 2014. She is coursing the Master in Liedgestaltung programme at the Hochschule für Musik in Freiburg and is currently enrolled in Solistenexamen postgraduate studies at the Musikhochschule in Karlsruhe. She received scholarships from FrauenFörderStipendium and Asociación de Juventudes Musicales de Madrid, and has been a guest of several lied cycles in Germany, such as the 19 Bonner Schumannfests im Schumann-Haus in Bonn, the Festival im Frühling in Heidelberg, and the LiederAbend.de cycle in Freiburg.
