Mathilde Kralik fou una compositora i mecenes a la Viena de 1900. Casada amb un aristòcrata, mantenia un saló musical que va esdevenir un centre neuràlgic de l’escena musical vienesa. Mahler, Schreker, Zemlinsky, Krenek, Berg i Schönberg acudien regularment a les sessions d’aquest saló, que inspira aquesta conferència-concert.

Theresa Pilsl

Theresa Pilsl studied singing at the Berlin University of the Arts and the Hanns Eisler School of Music in Berlin. At the same time, she studied medicine at the Charité Berlin, and she is currently doing her doctorate in phoniatrics at the LMU Munich. She has won numerous prizes, including at the 9th International Competition for Baroque Opera - Pietro Antonio Cesti, the National Singing Competition Berlin 2018 and the SWR Young Opera Stars 2020. She was a scholarship holder of the Atelier lyrique of the Verbier Festival, the Lied Academy of the Heidelberger Frühling and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation. Theresa Pilsl has given recitals at the Heidelberger Frühling International Music Festival, at the HIDALGO Song Festival in Munich, at the Martha Argerich Festival in Hamburg, in the Pierre Boulez Saal and at the Luosto Soi Festival in Lapland, Finland. Her operatic repertoire includes Susanna and Barbarina (Le nozze di Figaro), Pamina (Die Zauberflöte) and Genius (Der Stein der Weisen)

After her junior studies at the University of Music and Theatre in Munich, she studied piano there with Prof. Silke Avenhaus and Prof. Bernd Glemser in Würzburg and is currently continuing her studies in Lied accompaniment with Prof. Christian Gerhaher, Prof. Gerold Huber and Prof. Fritz Schwinghammer. She has won numerous prizes at various competitions such as 2nd prize at the Harald Genzmer Competition. She also performs at concert series such as the Swiss Chamber Festival, the Espresso concerts at Konzerthaus Berlin or Schubertíada Vilabertran and takes part in children's concerts at the Bavarian State Opera. She received musical impulses from Brigitte Fassbaender (Schubertiade Schwarzenberg) and Ian Bostridge, among others. In addition, she is a multiple recipient of the Deutschlandstipendium and participant in the Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now program. Furthermore, she holds a teaching position at the Leopold Mozart Centre of the University of Augsburg.
